Company History
Larry Morgan, President of
GENCOM,
Inc. began trucking with one truck in 1961. In 1972, he took a partner, Robert (Bob)
Walker, who is the Vice-President. They incorporated in June of that year.
They have experienced steady growth since that time. Bob oversees dispatch
operations and Larry takes care of purchasing equipment, while they both participate in
administrative decisions, personnel, safety, maintenance, etc.
The operation has evolved from a
one truck operation, to 5 plus trucks with one room office in the backyard, to 50 plus
trucks pulling refrigerated trailers. The one room office has grown into a 12 bay
shop with complete parts inventory and fully staffed offices above.
This business has been built on
believing in good customer service at a fair price. Our drivers and staff have been
trained with this philosophy which shows in our service.
